Good morning Oppo.
It's snowing up here in NY and I am in a suburb with a friend. The snow is coming down pretty good and its accumulated about 4 inches. With all that snow and my 300tdt outside I want to take it out in the snow. There is a nearby parking lot where I could practice winter driving. Do that sound stupid or like a good idea?

Sounds like a great idea, just don't get caught by Fox News...(I can't find the link, but they basically described donuts in an empty parking lot as "dangerous stunts" and "not good for your car".)

Doubt it, I can imagine the Germans assume that if you were stupid enough to get stuck you dont deserve a vehicle. Fox wont see a thing... tehe

There is a difference between "practice" and hooning. I would guess most cops would be OK with practice if it was safe place and looks like legitimate practice. However, once you step over the line, they may not be so accomodating.

lol you'll have to master the old Scandinavian flick! no real need for a handbrake. it's okay I ended up with a modified GTI against my will. long story. either way I'm sure I'll find a way to have some fun in the snow here in jersey!

Go for it! Just stay clear of light standards. We are expected to get half a foot today and another 4" this evening/overnight.
